1 John 4:16-18 (NKJV) And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
This is some of my favorite Scripture. It shows me how to tap into the power of God. As I learn how much God loves me, I am empowered. The more I understand His love; the more fearless I become.
The crucifixion was a powerful demonstration of love. The pain and agony Jesus endured was far more than we can imagine. However, it shows how God uses what the enemy means for harm---to bring about good.
There is another nugget here as well. This passage reads, "As He is, so are we in this world."
Perhaps you are facing what seems like an impossible circumstance. Maybe an illness, financial hardship, or broken down marriage has taken its toll. In the natural it looks like the enemy has you right where he wants you. Do not be discouraged, God has a deliverance already planned. It may not be how you expect, more than likely it will be even better.
Nothing is too difficult for our God. As a child of God, you receive the benefits of son-ship. You receive the benefits of Jesus. As He is, so are you.
Study some Scripture on the love of God. Listen to some good preaching on the subject. Let His love change your circumstances.
It may look like the devil is winning---but not this time---you have the key.
